Chiswick Park Footbridge

Chiswick Park footbridge is a CORTEN steel and precast concrete bridge that spans a railway line, road and nature reserve, and provides a strategic link to the local underground station.

Gennaro Senatore has carried out structural and geometry optimization to obtain the best overall design by taking into account the complex site constraints coupled with access limitations. This computational workflow has enabled time-efficient testing of multiple what-if scenarios by automatically generating models for structural analysis and 3D drawings to aid fabrication.
